The true meaning of Christmas is about celebrating peace, love, and goodwill towards others. But what does that really mean? Christmas is more than just exchanging christmas greeting card, best christmas gifts or decorating your house with holiday cheer. It is a time for family, friends, and giving back to those in need. Jesus always stopped to attend a hurting and a needy person, whenever somebody needed help he would stop.Wh at is the true Christmas meaning? For many people, Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. A friendly and a smiling face could be the best gift you have ever given to somebody, some people need it.
When you love other people you have covered multitudes of sins in God’s eyes. This is why God told us to love all man regardless of their color, gender, age. The world is full of hurting people, who are desperately looking for somebody to love them. It is not through miracles that we know the work of God, but through the love message that backs it. Anybody can perform miracles, anybody can prophesy, anybody can preach, including the devil, but what separated God from Satan is love. The power of Christianity is in the love message it is the only thing we have that Satan cannot duplicate. His love was proved by his action (by giving us Jesus). Love is seen through the things you do, this is why the Bible says God so loved the world and gave his only son ( John 3:16). Love will always cost you something, there is always a sacrifice.Īnybody can say I love you but if their actions don’t show it, then they are lying.
And because a commandment must be obeyed regardless of feelings, it means love is a responsibility and an effort towards another person. So love is a commandment not a feeling, and commandment must be done whether you feel like it or not. A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another ( John 13:34). 1 John 4:8 says, God is love and love (God) defined himself as a commandment.
The best place to find the right definition of love is from love himself. Human beings define love as an affection (feeling) towards another, but that’s a wrong definition.
